Aston Martin has unveiled the new Vanquish Volante, a limited-production convertible that now holds the title of the world’s fastest and most powerful front-engine convertible. It is powered by a 5.2-litre twin-turbocharged V12 producing 835PS (824 bhp) and 1000Nm of torque. The vehicle reaches a top speed of 214 mph and accelerates from 0-62 mph in 3.4 seconds.
The new model marks the 60th anniversary of the Volante nameplate. Its powertrain is paired with an eight-speed ZF automatic transmission and an electronic limited-slip differential, mounted in the rear for optimal weight distribution. Weight gain over the coupe version is limited to 95 kg, and the power-to-weight ratio rises to 416 hp per tonne.
Vanquish Volante features a bonded aluminum chassis, a carbon ceramic braking system, and a Bilstein DTX adaptive suspension. It includes five selectable drive modes: Wet, GT, Sport, Sport Plus, and Individual. The K-fold fabric roof mechanism operates in 14 seconds and can be deployed at speeds up to 31 mph. Remote operation is available from the key fob within a 2-meter radius.
The design includes a longer wheelbase, F1-inspired bonnet louvres, a floating rear shield, and a new stainless steel quad-exit exhaust. Interior features include a two-seat layout, a 10.25-inch TFT driver display, touchscreen infotainment, and a 15-speaker Bowers & Wilkins audio system. Optional customization is available through Aston Martin’s Q division.
Standard equipment includes 21-inch forged wheels, Alcantara and semi-aniline leather trim, matrix LED headlights, and a full suite of advanced driver assistance systems. Optional upgrades range from carbon fiber interior and exterior packages to a titanium exhaust system and a carbon performance seat.
Production is limited, and first deliveries are scheduled for Q3 2025.
