Cadillac Racing will participate in the 2025 24 Hours of Le Mans with four V-Series.R entries in the Hypercar class. The event is scheduled to take place on June 14 and 15 and will mark 75 years since Cadillac first competed at the Circuit de la Sarthe.
The entries include the Nos. 12 and 38 Cadillac Hertz Team JOTA cars, which received automatic invitations as full-season competitors in the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC). The team, operating in its first year as a works entrant in the WEC Hypercar class, will be represented by drivers Jenson Button, Earl Bamber, Sebastien Bourdais, Alex Lynn, Norman Nato, and Will Stevens.
The No. 101 Cadillac Wayne Taylor Racing V-Series.R will make its Le Mans debut. It competes full-time in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship’s Grand Touring Prototype (GTP) class. Ricky Taylor is the designated primary driver, with additional drivers to be confirmed.
The No. 311 Whelen Cadillac V-Series.R, operated by Action Express Racing, will make its third consecutive Le Mans appearance. It also competes in the IMSA GTP class. Jack Aitken is listed as the primary driver, with other team members to be announced.
Cadillac previously fielded three Hypercar entries at Le Mans in both 2023 and 2024. The team achieved a third-place finish in its first WEC Hypercar season in 2023 and secured second- and third-place qualifying positions in 2024. The best result in 2024 was a seventh-place finish overall. The Nos. 12 and 38 Hertz Team JOTA entries finished eighth and ninth, respectively.
JOTA Sport, prior to joining Hypercar competition in 2023, recorded ten podium finishes at Le Mans in the LMP2 category, including second- and third-place results in 2017.
The Cadillac V-Series.R is powered by a 5.5-liter DOHC V-8 engine developed by GM’s Performance and Racing Propulsion team in Pontiac, Michigan. The vehicle was co-developed by Cadillac Design, Cadillac Racing, and chassis builder Dallara. It includes design elements from the Project GTP Hypercar, which was introduced in June 2022, such as vertical lighting and aerodynamic blades.
