Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation has officially opened a new Customer Support service center at Mesa Gateway Airport in Mesa, Arizona. A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held to mark the occasion, with attendance from state and local officials, community members, and representatives from Gulfstream.

The company invested over $130 million into the 225,000-square-foot facility, which serves as a maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) site. The project was initially announced in 2021, and Gulfstream began providing limited services in 2022 ahead of full completion. Additional hangar space was added in late 2023. The new center has capacity for up to 13 large-cabin Gulfstream aircraft at once and offers maintenance, avionics, inspection, and drop-in support services for all Gulfstream models. It complements an existing nearby campus that accommodates up to 10 large- and mid-cabin aircraft.

Gulfstream has indicated the facility is part of a broader strategy to expand and modernize its service network, with a focus on sustainability and regional availability. As part of workforce development, the company has introduced training partnerships with local educational organizations, including internship and apprenticeship opportunities. More than 250 jobs have been added to the Mesa area through this initiative, with another 100 positions projected in 2025.

The Mesa Service Center was constructed with environmentally focused features. It is expected to receive LEED Silver certification from the U.S. Green Building Council later this year. Sustainability considerations include the use of recycled and regional materials, energy-efficient systems, water conservation features, and construction waste recycling. The campus also includes a fuel facility with a 30,000-gallon tank designated for sustainable aviation fuel blends.

Gulfstream’s wider Customer Support network includes other service centers in Van Nuys, California; Appleton, Wisconsin; Fort Worth, Texas; Palm Beach, Florida; Farnborough, England; and Savannah, Georgia.
