Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation has opened a new Gulfstream Field and Airborne Support Team (FAST) location at Westchester County Airport in White Plains, New York. The new base will provide on-site and regional aircraft maintenance and support through Gulfstream’s trained FAST technicians.
The White Plains location is part of Gulfstream’s broader initiative to expand its FAST program globally. The company stated that the decision to open the new location was based on analysis of aircraft activity, fleet growth, and customer demand. Gulfstream indicated that locations with high levels of customer activity, such as White Plains, are being prioritized for new FAST bases.
The FAST program was originally established in the United States to respond quickly to aircraft on ground (AOG) situations. Since its first international expansion in 2011, the program has grown to include 150 technicians and 24 bases worldwide. According to the company, the FAST team grew by over 40% in 2024, with further additions expected in regions including the western United States, Europe, the Middle East, and the Asia-Pacific region.
FAST operates within Gulfstream’s larger Customer Support network, which includes more than 5,500 employees and represents over one-quarter of the company’s global workforce.
